The 120-hour Comprehensive TEFL Certificate Program for In-person and Online teaching is the first of its kind.
The program is primarily focused on working with secondary school students, but there are resources and content focusing on young learners and young adults as well, making sure our participants get the full spectrum.
This is the “full-length” program, incorporating 100 hours of theory, 10 hours of observation, and 10 hours of teaching practicum. Registrants who take this route are required to submit themselves to a background check (done via Checkr) and must agree to sign and abide by our teacher agreement. This is necessary as participants are placed in real-time, online classrooms.

Requirements to take Online 120 hours TEFL Course
If you’re wondering, what do I need to teach English abroad, here are the 9 key requirements to teach English online or abroad no matter where in the world you plan to teach:
- Bachelors Degree Qualifications & TESOL Applicants must have a bachelors degree Applicants must also participate in our 120-hour online TEFL
- Participants should be Native English speaker from the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa
- Applicants should have a clear, neutral accent. Applicants with a strong regional accent should be sent through for pre-screening.
- Applicants should be between the ages of 21 and 50 years of age. Applicants outside of this age bracket can be taken on a case-by-case basis so book a call to chat with us.
- Applicants must have a clean criminal background check with no criminal record, previous arrests or charges listed
- Tattoos must be covered at all times when teaching. Piercings: Standard ear piercings for females are ok but all facial piercings must be removed.
- Tech requirements for teaching online, a stable reliable WiFi. Computer with webcam. It is recommended that your computer has at least 2.3ghz CPU / 4GB RAM. The recommended internet speed is at least 30mbs download/20mbs upload.
- A well-lit, quiet, neutral background is a requirements for teachers as you need to be able to work online (no cafes, outside, or noisy area) it needs to have good lighting and a blank white background.

Whether you intend to teach in person, online, or both, our comprehensive TEFL certificate program provides the necessary training in all areas. This includes teaching methods, activities and strategies for each language skill, classroom technology, lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and skills for establishing and succeeding in a TEFL career online or in-person.Each topic includes training on theory, followed by hands-on practice with feedback from an instructor, and finally real classroom experience with supervision and coaching from a master instructor.

From the start of your application to the weeks following graduation, our partners can be reached easily during business hours by phone or email to provide personalized guidance and support. This includes support with the application and registration process, then learning to use the learning management system and completing hands-on assignments. Once you have completed 50% of the program, human resources initiates employment support, which continues through the practicum and past graduation. Our partners also assists participants in securing practicum placement, in local schools or in their online classrooms as needed.
The time to completion depends on how much you can dedicate to working on your course each week. Some participants can finish inless than 4 months. You have up to 6 months to complete every aspect of the 120-hour course, including the practicum.
