ABOUT TEACHING IN CAMBODIA

Our TEFL course in Siem Reap, is a 4 week onsite practical training course and cultural orientation. Cambodia is a land where ancient and modern worlds collide to create a unique destination. Tourism and development in Cambodia have exploded over the last two decades. The nation shares borders with Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Our directors and trainers have 50 + years of combined experience in both TEFL as well as gap year programs.

Key Facts

120-hour in Class TESOL

You have the choose of Hybrid TESOL or 4 weeks TEFL in Country. Your training takes place in Siem Reap or Hua Hin. The course includes full-time, in-person lessons, practical teaching experience, and trained facilitators from our partners
Upon completion, you can teach English anywhere in the world.

Eligibility

Our partners typically accept: Ages 18–55
• High proficiency in English
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (for guaranteed placement)
• Non-degree holders may still join the course but job availability may vary.

Investment

Full tuition for the 4-week Thailand program starts at $1495 – $1895 including training materials and certificate. Monthly start dates are available. Additional costs include accommodation, meals, and personal expenses.

What you will learn

Both programs covers teaching methodology, lesson planning, classroom management, phonology, grammar awareness, and observed teaching practice with real learners, your TEFL guarantees 2 weeks in class training, to support your teaching journey.

Accommodation

During your 4-week training you will receive guidance on finding homestay, hostel, or shared accommodation within your budget. Some options are arranged by the provider, others are paid locally by trainees. You may choose a shared or private room depending on availability.

Accreditation

The TESOL certificate is fully accredited and recognized globally by UK Ofqual allowing graduates to teach English in Vietnam and internationally. THe TEFL is accredited by ACT and TESL Canada

Pre Departure Support

You will receive full instructions on the visa process for Cambodia, including required documents, timelines, and recommended visa pathways. Our partner teams assist with paperwork as needed.

Competitive Salary and Benefits

Most teaching jobs available through placement pay $900 to $1200 per month though some teachers earn more. Due to the low cost of living in Cambodia, most teachers are able to save $300 after expenses.
