ABOUT TEACHING IN SOUTH KOREA

To teach English in South Korea, you must have a recognised TEFL/TESOL certificate and a bachelor’s degree in any field, or a diploma in English or Education. Applicants should be fluent or near-native English speakers, in good physical and mental health, and generally between 20 and 30 years old. You will need a return ticket or proof of sufficient funds, and you must not have previously entered Korea on a Working Holiday Visa. A clean criminal record is required. Eligible nationalities include Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, the UK, and the USA.

U.S. applicants must be current students or within one year of graduation and able to provide proof of their academic status.
