Do I need a degree to teach in Myanmar?

No. You don’t need a Bachelor’s degree to join this program. Degree holders do receive a lifetime placement guarantee, so job availability may vary slightly for non-degree holders.

What are the typical working hours?

Language centers usually have hours in the evenings and weekends. Public schools are Monday–Friday. Most contracts are for 18–25 teaching hours per week.

How much can I realistically save?

Because living costs are around $1,000 and salaries are $1,400-$1,600+, most teachers save between $300 and $800 USD every month while living comfortably.

Is accommodation provided?

Unlike some other Asian Countries, most schools in Myanmar do not provide free housing, but they do provide assistance in finding a safe, affordable apartment near the school.
