We strongly recommend enrolling in your TEFL course in Italy as far in advance as possible.
In Italy you will need a TEFL Certificate to teach.
And unless you have an EU passport the qualifications to teach English in Italy are very similar to those required by most European countries.
This means that you’ll need a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, as well as teaching experience and a TEFL/TESOL certificate.

Our partners accepts, over 18 – 55 yrs students, English speakers who have a high proficiency in English and have a bachelor’s degree. If you do not meet these criteria, you are more than welcome to join the course, but no guarantee of a job will be given!
During and after the course. You will, however, be expected to do the searching and sourcing yourself, with the help of the course organizers, you will not be alone.
For Italy, unless you have an EU passport you have two options. The first is a language assistant scheme as you cannot work legally in Italy without a work visa or European citizenship. The other is apply to be a student and learn Italian.
For Italy students can arrange their accommodations through the onsite coordinator in Florence and receive suggested alternatives. All our housing is within walking distance of the center.
